To Place Reducing Piping Components

Below is a common standard procedure for placing reducing piping components such as Elbows, Tees, Crosses, etc.
  1. Open the Standard Preferences dialog and set the pipeline, specification and component values.
  2. Select one of the reducing component options from one of the Piping galleries. (Elbows, Tees, etc.)
  3. When the Spec Record Selection dialog displays, select the reducing option from the list and click OK.
  4. Select a Placement Point option (MAIN_PORT, RUN_PORT, BRANCH_PORT, OTHER) from the Place Componentdialog.
  5. Click the Properties tab and define any specific properties necessary for the component.
  6. Pick a point in the drawing, or input the (x,y,z) coordinates in the AccuDraw window. If connecting to an existing component, snap to the open end of the component and right-click to accept the point.
  7. Optional: If placing the component in space (not connected to an existing component) pick a point in the drawing to define the direction.
  8. Pick a point in the drawing to define the rotation and complete the placement process.
Note: By default, the placement command remains active until another command is selected.
